Double gold at CCAA golf national championship

After four rounds at Ancienne Lorette golf course in Québec City last week, Mackenzie Cloutier was crowned the women’s individual champion. She won by 4 strokes over Madison Ouellette from Humber College. Cloutier had two sub-par rounds, a 70 on day 2 and a tournament low 69 on the final day. She finished with a combined score of +3. Cloutier also carried team RSEQ 1 to the team gold.

On the men’s side Jake Houston came away with the individual bronze medal. He also had two sub-par rounds carding a day one 71 and the low round of the day for round three with a 68. His round three result vaulted him 6 spots onto the podium where he ended the tournament. The men’s team finished in 7th place with Samuel Labrecque (32nd), Tayler Morin (42nd), Logan Wood (48th) and Fernando Valderrama (50th).
